How Not to Cry True Stories of an Overweight Teen

How not to cry? That's something I had to learn at a young age. I believe it was in the fourth grade. Yes, that's when I really started to become fat. And I didn't know then, how obese I was to become later.
When someone teases you, you have to take your mind somewhere else. Try to become stiff as a board on the inside, almost as if you were dead. And no matter how hard they try to get your attention, to actually see your face as they insult you, ignore it.
Some obese people actually exchange insults with their attacker. In my experience, this usually opens the door for their friends and onlookers to join in on the "fun". Then you have a situation where you are being ganged up on, if that wasn't how it already started. That's why I say it's better to ignore the teasing.
It will be hard at first, but you must, must, must master how not to cry. If you don't you will be in a world of trouble. Those hateful, mean people will attract and recruit others to join in on "the fun". And before you know it, you will have to change schools, and you will be begging your parents to move. A human being can only take so much before they crack.
You can save your tears for home, maybe in your own room, if you have one. If not, go into the bathroom and run the water or turn on the fan. Rinse your face with cold water before coming out though. That helps reduce the puffiness and red eyes that come form crying.
Don't worry, living as an overweight person in society will get easier as you get older. But some of those ignorant "fat people haters" never change, so beware. You never know when you may have to remember how not to cry. Things became bearable for me once I went to college.
These are just my tips and true stories to help all of those overweight children and teenagers learn how not to cry.
