My wife or husband needs to lose wieght

How do you tell your wife or husband that they need to lose weight? I ask this questions of all the married people out there. I love them to death but the added pounds are causing me not to desire/want them as much. Sex isn't everything in a marriage, but when the mood hits you, you definitely better go to your spouse to satisfy it. That is kind of hard if they have put on say 75 or 100 pounds from the time you met them up until now.

So how do you break it to them gently that you think they need to lose weight, for themselves and for the realationship. I didn't misspell relationship. I want to emphasize the point that seeing the visual and wanting the sexual have a definite link, and that is REAL.

There is no easy way to put it

There is no easy way to say something like that. You need to reassure them that you still love them and you are not cheating first. Trust me, they are going to think that you are already going outside of the relationship to satisfy your lusts. Hopefully you have not done this.

But offer to make the necessary changes with them. Sign both of you up for a gym membership, or go walking together every evening. Throw out all of the junk food and do more activities together in general. You tend to eat less when you are occupied. Also reassure them constantly during the conversation that you are not threatening to leave, but you want to make the relationship better, so you both get the best out of each other. That is how I would handle it.
